TIP! You can get a lot of help you in your golf game from your body. Your arms shouldn’t be the only source of strength; your whole body should be! The force of your whole body should be used to swing the club.

If you want to try a new sport, give golf a shot. Golf lets you spend time with your friends, get some exercise, and enjoy the fresh air. Another great benefit is that you will be exercising your body and your mind, which has been proven to slow the aging process. Follow these easy tips to get started playing golf and you may discover it will quickly become your favorite pastime.

TIP! The first step to mastering the game of golf is the correct grip of the club. The most common problem when trying to hit the ball far is they tend to have a hard grip on the club.

Make sure to use your body to your advantage while you play. Not only your arms, but also your torso will serve as your powerhouse. You need to move every part of your body as part of swinging the club. Not only will you be able to hit the ball further, but it will also alleviate your arms from doing all the work, putting less stress on your whole body.

Make sure you do get plenty of stretching in and hydrate yourself sufficiently. Giving proper attention to your body will help you make improvements in your golf game.

TIP! You may hear the term “sweet spot” when discussing golf clubs. This is the area on the club face that reaps the best results when striking the ball.

Avoid being super-tight or ultra-loose with your golf swing. A grip that is overly tight will pull your shot rightwards. If you hold too loose, the ball will likely go to the left. Analyze what direction your shots are traveling in, and then make alterations to your grip accordingly.

TIP! While putting, use your left hand to guide the ball by making sure it is slightly in front of the ball. Attempt to maintain the position for the duration of your swing.

Ensure that the back of the foot in front is lined up with your ball when you do a drive shot. The golf ball must be central and in between your feet during your swings. The only exception to this generalization is when your ball is on an incline.

TIP! Whenever you are staring down a long putt, make sure to focus first on the speed necessary to get close to the hole. Aim for a target near the hole, rather than aiming directly at it.

Always thoroughly inspect the club head before purchasing any used golf club. A good indicator that a club is past its prime is if you notice an worn-out spot on the head. When this happens the club head doesn’t hold the ball the way it should be doing.

TIP! Stretch before playing and stay hydrated. As with any sport, better physical conditioning can lead to better performance.

Before you swing, make sure your hands are positioned properly on the club. Your thumbs will be pointing downwards, and the handle will fit right in your palms. Your two hands should touch each other. Choke up higher on the club to hit farther.

TIP! When you take a grasp on the handle of your club, make sure not to favor one hand over the other. Holding your club too tightly when you swing will usually make your shots turn right instead of going straight.

Do not assume a golfing stance that feels unnatural to you. You can practice hitting the ball, and doing your swing, without a golf club. Stand in position with flexed knees, bend a little at your waist and then let your arms naturally drop forward of you. Clasp your hands together, then maintain your hold. That is all that goes into this common position and if it’s not a comfortable feeling for you, then you are over doing the position.

TIP! Bring a high-protein snack with you on the course. Golf can make a person both mentally and physically tired.

As stated above, golf is a great sport to get both physical and mental exercise while hanging out with friends outdoors. So, if you are looking forward to taking up an engaging new sport, look no further. These easy tips will help you start playing golf and be on your way to a happier, healthier you.

"Before I started your "Draw" System I had a slice. Since following your day by day instructions, I now hit the fairway much more often with a slight fade or draw when I get it right! As a result I have gone from hitting 220-230 yards to hitting 250-280 yards.

I found the instructions easy to follow. It brought me along at the right speed in learning the system correctly without rushing. The step by step system I found left you excited to want to learn that step so you could move on to the next.

It has improved my distance off the tee (a good 50 yards +) and helped me with my swing more importantly. Which has improved my whole game and as a result I hit straighter with more consistency. It has taken me to a new level in my golf game.

It was easy to follow learning at your own speed. It was almost like having a golf pro right there with you. Anytime you can improve at something you can always enjoy it better, especially when you see yourself improving from day to day. I am and would recommend this system to everyone who wants to improve their game."

The instructions are excellent. The photo's supporting the written word make it very easy to understand what one is meant to do. Well written. This is the best that I have seen in written form. The difference is that every move is explained in detail, with photos, and it is simple to follow.

I'm very happy I've bought this system - the best thing is that I can review my swing and identify the areas I need to correct. Well done - excellent material, I have referred other people to the course."
