TIP! Having a fit body is key to playing a great game of golf. Use your entire body as a power source, rather than just your arms.

Golf has been around for quite some time, as early as the 15th century. Golf has gone through a number of changes, but it’s always been a relaxing and engaging game. This article is packed with helpful tips and tricks that are sure to improve your game.

TIP! Use your body for more power behind your swing. When people first start out playing golf, they think the power is in their arms, but that is only partially true because you need to be in coordination with your body to hit the ball far.

Golf clubs have a point known as the “sweet spot.” If the ball is hit at this point, it will fly true. You should find out where this spot is on each of your clubs, and connect with the ball when you reach the end of a downward swing.

TIP! If you wiggle your toes a little before you swing this can tell you about your posture. If your feet move freely with no difficulty, you are likely leaning away from the ball too far.

Be sure that all of your attention is dedicated towards your next shot. Don’t allow the success or failure of previous shots or looming hazards distract you from the perfect shot in front of you. Dwelling on mistakes is going to affect your game negatively. Stay focused, and move on.

TIP! Stand so that your left hand is in front of the ball when preparing to putt. Hold this position as the putter strikes the ball and you complete your stroke.

When you are gripping the putter and standing over the ball, your left hand should be in front of the ball. Maintain proper posture and hand position throughout your swing. You will have more control over the club and direction of the ball.

TIP! Because of this, go through some stretches before you tee off, and also stay well hydrated. Staying in shape can really improve your golf game.

When faced with a really long putt shot, concentrate on the speed you use to hit the ball. Read your putt well while aiming for intermediate targets, rather than aiming straight for the hole. This will increase the chance of a short second putt by helping to ensure your putt is not too long or too short.

TIP! Knowing how to mark your scores is essential in the game of golf. This is because your player ranking is based on your score.

If at all possible, golf with strong players and pay attention to their technique. There are many tidbits of information you can gather from watching an advanced golfer play. Of course, not everyone can afford a one-on-one with Tiger Woods, but skilled players are almost always willing to impart knowledge on eager amateurs. Not only should playing along with a better golfer help encourage you to put forth more effort, you can also glean ideas relative to strategy, composure, and swing technique.

TIP! Prepare a simple snack like nuts and bring it with you when you go golfing. Golf is a game both physically and mentally exhausting.

Your feet must be lined up in the correct way. This will help you improve your swing. You want your feet to be lined up perpendicular to the place you wish the ball to go. You can achieve this by placing the club directly against your toes, then aligning the club’s end so that it points in the direction of your drive.

TIP! If you desire to improve in golf, you need to make sure that you’re standing while having the right position. You have a better chance to get maximum distance if you maintain a consistent body position with your swing.

To keep your energy up on the golf course, you should bring a snack with you. Foods high in protein, like nuts and seeds, are the perfect golfing companion. Golfing can tire you out physically and mentally. Any snack with high amounts of protein and sufficient calories not only keeps you more mentally alert, but also wards off any approaching muscle tiredness. When you stay mentally and physically alert, you can make it through the whole course much more easily.

There is a reason golf has remained popular. All you have to do is apply it on the course.

"Before I started your "Draw" System I had a slice. Since following your day by day instructions, I now hit the fairway much more often with a slight fade or draw when I get it right! As a result I have gone from hitting 220-230 yards to hitting 250-280 yards.

I found the instructions easy to follow. It brought me along at the right speed in learning the system correctly without rushing. The step by step system I found left you excited to want to learn that step so you could move on to the next.

It has improved my distance off the tee (a good 50 yards +) and helped me with my swing more importantly. Which has improved my whole game and as a result I hit straighter with more consistency. It has taken me to a new level in my golf game.

It was easy to follow learning at your own speed. It was almost like having a golf pro right there with you. Anytime you can improve at something you can always enjoy it better, especially when you see yourself improving from day to day. I am and would recommend this system to everyone who wants to improve their game."

Although the system is meant to improve your draw, in fact it has improved other areas of my game e.g. my setup and accuracy. I am now consistently hitting the ball cleanly and going in the direction I want it to. I think these are the benefits of the various drills and exercises you suggested.

The "Draw" System has narrowed the exercise and search for improving my game because everything is presented in a neat package without having to search all of them individually.

Being new to the game I did wonder why certain drills and exercises were recommended. In the end I did find out they were great. The instructions are explained very simply and easy to follow but as I said I did wonder initially what they had to do with trying to draw the ball. The answers came in the end.

I used to slice the ball badly before but now I can hit it straight or if it goes right it is not as bad as before, at least it still stays on the fairway. It is a great feeling to see that ball stay on the fairway."
