TIP! This helps you determine your best stance. It is important to have a proper golf stance, but there are different factors that can affect the stance, such as height or gender.

Golf can be fun and rewarding, and it has many health benefits. It just takes starting out to be on your way to becoming a golfer. Continue reading for some tips to help you perfect your game and play better.

TIP! If you are a beginning golfer, learn how to grip the golf club properly. One common mistake is thinking that gripping the club harder will cause the ball to be hit further.

This allows you to determine which stance is best suited to your individual style. Your stance is important, but since everyone is unique, it is impossible to to determine the proper stance without experimentation. When you find the proper stance for you, your game will improve.

TIP! To check your stance, wiggle your toes. When a golfer is leaning into the swing too far, their toes will usually become difficult to wiggle and suggests that the golfer should adjust backwards to prevent a nasty shot.

For beginner golfers, learning to grip the club properly is key. The most common problem when trying to hit the ball far is they tend to have a hard grip on the club. A better approach is to employ a grip which is firm but softer. Hold the club like you would hold a bird.

TIP! Don’t take golf too seriously. Mistakes do happen, and the ability to laugh at your mistakes helps relax you, and it will help you recover more easily from those mistakes.

When addressing each putt, it is important to have your hands slightly ahead of the line between your head and the ball. Hold this position as you swing the club, maintaining it throughout your stroke. This helps to get a smooth roll of the ball and prevents the ball from popping up as it meets the putter.

TIP! One of the first things you should learn in golf is how scores are kept. Because golf scores are often used as a way of judging a player’s skill level, it’s important to understand them.

If you need to make a long putt, focus mostly on the speed that you hit the ball with. Try to aim for a middle target instead of going straight for the hole. That way, you are less likely to either overshoot or undershoot, and your second putt is more likely to be a manageable one.

Skilled Players

TIP! If you’re going to treat yourself to a golf club, have it custom-fitted. Golf clubs are not “one size fits all” and should be chosen with extreme care based off of style, physical aspects, and playing method.

When playing golf with highly skilled players, study their technique. There are a variety of ways you can learn from golfers more experienced than you. Of course, not everyone can afford a one-on-one with Tiger Woods, but skilled players are almost always willing to impart knowledge on eager amateurs. If you focus on the methods that they use, you’ll be able to develop new strategies, and they may encourage you to put more effort into your game.

TIP! You should always make sure before you swing that you hold the golf club properly. Your thumbs will be pointing downwards, and the handle will fit right in your palms.

One of the first things you need to learn about golf is the scoring rules. You should know how to keep score because you can judge how good you and friends did. Each time you tee off towards a new hole, the number of strokes it takes to reach that hole is your score. The aim of the game is to reach each hole with the least number of strokes as you can.

TIP! Keep your confidence high by playing with other players at your level. When you just learning to play, challenge beginner-level courses, and take other beginners with you when you play.

The mental and physical benefits are numerous, and the basics of the sport are actually quite simple. Now that you’ve read the above advice, enjoy getting out there and starting to golf!

"Before I started your "Draw" System I had a slice. Since following your day by day instructions, I now hit the fairway much more often with a slight fade or draw when I get it right! As a result I have gone from hitting 220-230 yards to hitting 250-280 yards.

I found the instructions easy to follow. It brought me along at the right speed in learning the system correctly without rushing. The step by step system I found left you excited to want to learn that step so you could move on to the next.

It has improved my distance off the tee (a good 50 yards +) and helped me with my swing more importantly. Which has improved my whole game and as a result I hit straighter with more consistency. It has taken me to a new level in my golf game.

It was easy to follow learning at your own speed. It was almost like having a golf pro right there with you. Anytime you can improve at something you can always enjoy it better, especially when you see yourself improving from day to day. I am and would recommend this system to everyone who wants to improve their game."

Although the system is meant to improve your draw, in fact it has improved other areas of my game e.g. my setup and accuracy. I am now consistently hitting the ball cleanly and going in the direction I want it to. I think these are the benefits of the various drills and exercises you suggested.

The "Draw" System has narrowed the exercise and search for improving my game because everything is presented in a neat package without having to search all of them individually.

Being new to the game I did wonder why certain drills and exercises were recommended. In the end I did find out they were great. The instructions are explained very simply and easy to follow but as I said I did wonder initially what they had to do with trying to draw the ball. The answers came in the end.

I used to slice the ball badly before but now I can hit it straight or if it goes right it is not as bad as before, at least it still stays on the fairway. It is a great feeling to see that ball stay on the fairway."
