TIP! When you are golfing, consider ditching the golf cart and walking. You will get more exercise, which in turn is great for your health! Your joints and muscles will also be looser and stay warm if you walk.

You may be a seasoned professional or a miniature golfing amateur. The fact is that golf is a game that requires practice and technical skill, which keeps players of all levels interested. Before you play another round, read on for some easy ways to improve your skill and your score.

TIP! Get advice from a professional if you want to buy clubs. They can help you find the club that best suits you and will know about the newest available clubs.

If you have the opportunity, ask a professional his or her opinion on a club, or certainly on a set of new clubs you are considering purchasing. These pros will have up-to-date information regarding the newest clubs available. Also, they will be able to best determine which clubs will suit you well.

TIP! Your entire body can benefit you in a game of golf. You don’t just use your arms, you have to channel energy from your whole body for a source of true power.

When just starting out, it’s important to learn how to properly grip the club. Quite a few people correlate a hard grip with being able to hit a ball further. You should instead grip the club soft and firm. Approach the handling of the club as you would if you were holding a bird.

TIP! A great technique for bettering your swing is to make the most of your entire body weight as a means to gain additional power. Beginning golfers rely too much on their arms for swinging power, which causes them not to hit all that far.

A simple way to spot possible problems with your golf stance is to use the toe-wiggle procedure. If it is difficult to wiggle your toes when preparing to swing your club, this indicates you are leaning too far towards the ball. To get the proper posture for play, lean back until you feel a little play in your feet.

TIP! Long putts require fast swings. Hit the ball as quickly as possible to propel it forward the greatest distance.

If you have to putt a ball across a large green, pay special attention to the speed of your putt. Although you may be tempted to directly target the hole, you’ll typically achieve better results by choosing an intermediate target. This helps you to get the current putt distance just right so that the next one can be a short shot.

TIP! When playing golf with highly skilled players, study their technique. There are various ways to benefit from a pro golfer.

Enhance your own skills by observing those of stronger golfers. There are a variety of ways you can learn from golfers more experienced than you. He or she doesn’t need to be a professional golfer in order for you to obtain some good advice on the subject. Focus on how they play, it can give you some new ideas. Also, just being around them may help you to have a better game.

Make sure you do get plenty of stretching in and hydrate yourself sufficiently. Taking care of your body can add to your golfing success.

TIP! Always keep your feet positioned in a straight line. This is important if you wish to have a better golf swing.

To maximize swing strength, you need to involve your whole body, from your torso all the way down to your legs. Whip your upper body around as you swing, using the power of your legs pressing downward, to further energize your stroke.

TIP! As you take your driving shot, your front heel should be in line with your ball. But for other swings, the ball should be at a median point between your right and left foot.

Now that you have taken the initiative to learn something new about the sport of golf, you can impress your golfing buddies (or that gorgeous pro shop attendant) with the information you’ve just picked up. Look for new ways to apply these skills to your current game, to make the game even more challenging and engaging.

I know your a busy man so I'll keep this short. If I ever meet you in person I'll KISS you!!!!! You have saved my golf game. I've been playing for 2 years and in the beginning I found it very easy. In less than 9 months I was a 14 and it was looking like it was going to continue to go down. Then I hit a wall, that little ball started to go right, and then it went further right, then even further right..... I was losing massive distance as well, 3 clubs. I fought with it for ages.  Well I'm now 4 months into my new swing and I shot a 77 yesterday. You absolute beauty!!!! 15 of 18 greens, what a game!!!!! Your mental course is magnificent, coupled with the draw system I can now play golf on a level I never thought possible.

Although the system is meant to improve your draw, in fact it has improved other areas of my game e.g. my setup and accuracy. I am now consistently hitting the ball cleanly and going in the direction I want it to. I think these are the benefits of the various drills and exercises you suggested.

The "Draw" System has narrowed the exercise and search for improving my game because everything is presented in a neat package without having to search all of them individually.

Being new to the game I did wonder why certain drills and exercises were recommended. In the end I did find out they were great. The instructions are explained very simply and easy to follow but as I said I did wonder initially what they had to do with trying to draw the ball. The answers came in the end.

I used to slice the ball badly before but now I can hit it straight or if it goes right it is not as bad as before, at least it still stays on the fairway. It is a great feeling to see that ball stay on the fairway."
