TIP! If you have the opportunity, ask a professional his or her opinion on a club, or certainly on a set of new clubs you are considering purchasing. The course’s golf pro can advise you on what kinds of clubs will best suit your style, and can also help you to identify the newest and best products.

If you’ve been searching for a new sport to try, why not consider golf? Golf is an ideal sport for enjoying the great outdoors while having the opportunity to socialize with your buddies. Golf works out more than your body, it works out your brain too. To get started, simply follow these tips and you may find that golf is one of your favorite sports.

TIP! When you swing a golf club, put your whole body into it. Your arms shouldn’t be the only source of strength; your whole body should be! Utilize all of your body’s muscles to get maximum power as you swing your club.

A stance can be corrected with an easy toe-wiggling routine. When preparing to swing the club, the golfer should be able to wiggle his or her toes; if this cannot be done, the golfer may be leaning in too far towards the ball. Golfers should lean back until they feel some play in their feet to get proper posture.

Regarding the game of golf, try not to obsess over it. Mistakes will happen and you should laugh at them to remain calm.

Sweet Spot

TIP! Always stay focused on the next shot. Make sure you do not let a bad shot get the best of you.

Golf clubs have a point known as the “sweet spot.” If the ball is hit at this point, it will fly true. Instead of practicing with only one club, you should try each one to discover the best way to hit that sweet spot.

TIP! If you can, golf with good players and study their technique. A golfing buddy or peer can be an improvement for your game on several different levels.

Always stay focused on the next shot. Do not let the previous successful or unsuccesful shot, or the upcoming water hazard, take you away from the hit you are about to make. Stressing over bad shots has been the downfall of many players, so learn to let go.

TIP! Use a light, neutral grasp on all of your golf clubs. If the golf club is gripped too tightly, shots will generally veer to the right.

While putting, use your left hand to guide the ball by making sure it is slightly in front of the ball. You also want to do your best to maintain this position and form while you swing your club. This will allow you to firmly grasp the club during the stroke and keep the ball from skipping off the club’s face at contact.

TIP! Prepare a simple snack like nuts and bring it with you when you go golfing. You may find yourself exhausted after playing for awhile.

A good swing is backed by the strength and motion of the whole body as rooted in your core and legs. Push down with your legs while you throw your body forward and through your club.

TIP! Before you take your shot, make sure that you align the rear of your forward facing foot with the ball. The starting, prime location of the ball, for all other swings, is centered between your feet.

Align your feet with the ball to make effective shots. Proper foot placement can help you greatly improve your swing. You should set your feet at a 90 degree angle to the direction in which the ball should travel. You can easily check by putting the club up against your toes, the ball will go towards the direction that the club’s end is pointing.

TIP! Check your grip on the club before you make your swing. Make sure the handle is resting against your palms while your thumbs point downward.

As stated above, golf is a great sport to get both physical and mental exercise while hanging out with friends outdoors. So, if you are looking forward to taking up an engaging new sport, look no further. These easy tips will help you start playing golf and be on your way to a happier, healthier you.

Don’t just take our word for it!

"My fairway woods are now much more consistent in distance and much straighter, both off the tee and from the fairway. Also my mid iron shots are more consistent than in the past.

This system helped me to learn to put all the pieces together to know what a good swing should feel like. Whereas in the past someone might give me a good piece of advice, but I never had it in the context of a whole solid swing. And now I'm finally gaining confidence with my swing.

The instructions were easy to follow. The pictures added a lot of clarity to what you were looking to emulate. The "Draw" System gives you a step by step approach to building a good, solid, repeatable golf swing. All the drills are geared towards that singular goal of producing a swing that will produce a draw.

I've seen a lot of the drills used in The "Draw" System, but this is the first time where I've seen all the drills tied together in order to produce the "whole" good swing. And I'm finally learning what a good swing should feel like, (after years of unsuccessful guessing), and can try to recreate that sensation on the course.

I enjoy playing golf more now because I can actually start aiming at where I want to hit the ball. And I'm having a lot more fun actually hitting a lot more often from the fairway!

A very good, useful book! Thanks for compiling all the information and drills to help me understand and incorporate the swing mechanics in order to produce a draw."

"I have picked up golf seriously at the age of 43. The "Draw" System has enabled me to understand what goes wrong with what I do to a golf ball and make corrections. Having this knowledge has me playing with a 19 handicap after only playing for a short while. It helped me understand the game better.

When I started playing my shots landed anywhere except where I was aiming. I am now getting my shots to go where I am aiming more regularly. Just yesterday, I hit a 141-yard shots on a par 3 and it landed 6 feet away from the hole. Three months ago that would never have happened.

The instructions and the pictures are wonderful. The instructions are concise and descriptive. Combined with the pictures, it promotes easy understanding. The pictures help the most."
