TIP! By experimenting, you can find the best way to stand while playing. It is so crucial for you to have a stance that works well with your individual build and style, but also accomplishes a good swing while allowing for precision.

Golf is a great sport to play, even people from the likes of Mark Twain believed so. Golf can be an incredibly frustrating game, particularly when the ball either lands in a sand trap, or goes flying off in a different direction to that which you desired. In an ideal world, everyone would have an expert caddy that told them exactly which club to use. Choosing the right club, after all, is a critical part of making the best shot. Read on to learn how to evaluate clubs and choose the right ones for you.

TIP! One of the first things you will want to address when learning how to play golf is your grip. Most commonly, people try to grip the club hard in hopes of hitting the ball further.

In any sport like golf your body plays a pivotal factor in your performance. Your whole body is the force behind your shot. Your full body should be involved in the club movement. This can help propel the ball further so that you don’t have to swing the arms too hard.

TIP! Don’t just use your arms and back for power when swinging a golf club. Involve your whole body in the fun to improve the effectiveness of your swing.

Use your body for more power behind your swing. When people first start out playing golf, they think the power is in their arms, but that is only partially true because you need to be in coordination with your body to hit the ball far. Moving the whole body with the club motion is much more effective.

TIP! Don’t take yourself, or the game of golf, too seriously. Everyone makes mistakes and the ability to laugh at them will help you to learn from your flubs and relax while you play.

Wiggling your toes helps you figure out the correct posture as you are getting ready to swing the club. If you have no trouble moving your feet, then you need to reduce the angle at which you are leaning relative to the ball. You want to lean but not excessively; you want to do it just enough to get a good stroke going.

TIP! Each golf club comes with a place that is considered the “sweet spot”. This is a point on the club where a strike will have a perfectly accurate swing.

As such, you need to stretch before starting a round and keep yourself hydrated. Pay attention to your physical health if you want to play a better game of golf.

TIP! If at all possible, golf with strong players and pay attention to their technique. There are plenty of ways that you can benefit from a talented golfer.

Make sure your grip is neither too loose nor too tight. If your grip is too tight, you will likely steer your shots to the right. If you’re holding the club too loosely, it tends to veer to the left. Correct your grip according to the trajectory of your shots.

TIP! It’s extremely important to understand how to correctly score a golf game. Your score will show how your game progresses over time and can be used to compare you to other golfers.

Footwork is essential to a golf swing, so make sure that you have your feet properly lined up. This simple step is considered to be one of the most important parts of maintaining a consistent swing. Your feet need to be perpendicular to where you want your ball to go. Checking this is simple by putting your club up against your toes, as the club end points in the future direction of your ball.

TIP! To really get a powerful swing going, you need to utilize the muscles in your whole body, especially the legs and trunk. Swing your body around like a whip as you swing, and draw power from your legs pushing against the ground.

Hybrid clubs give the new and experienced golfer a greater chance at making his or her golf game better. You can hit the ball much better than with a wooden club because the head is actually larger. They may be the best thing to happen to golf in decades.

Don’t just take our word for it!

"My fairway woods are now much more consistent in distance and much straighter, both off the tee and from the fairway. Also my mid iron shots are more consistent than in the past.

This system helped me to learn to put all the pieces together to know what a good swing should feel like. Whereas in the past someone might give me a good piece of advice, but I never had it in the context of a whole solid swing. And now I'm finally gaining confidence with my swing.

The instructions were easy to follow. The pictures added a lot of clarity to what you were looking to emulate. The "Draw" System gives you a step by step approach to building a good, solid, repeatable golf swing. All the drills are geared towards that singular goal of producing a swing that will produce a draw.

I've seen a lot of the drills used in The "Draw" System, but this is the first time where I've seen all the drills tied together in order to produce the "whole" good swing. And I'm finally learning what a good swing should feel like, (after years of unsuccessful guessing), and can try to recreate that sensation on the course.

I enjoy playing golf more now because I can actually start aiming at where I want to hit the ball. And I'm having a lot more fun actually hitting a lot more often from the fairway!

A very good, useful book! Thanks for compiling all the information and drills to help me understand and incorporate the swing mechanics in order to produce a draw."

Although the system is meant to improve your draw, in fact it has improved other areas of my game e.g. my setup and accuracy. I am now consistently hitting the ball cleanly and going in the direction I want it to. I think these are the benefits of the various drills and exercises you suggested.

The "Draw" System has narrowed the exercise and search for improving my game because everything is presented in a neat package without having to search all of them individually.

Being new to the game I did wonder why certain drills and exercises were recommended. In the end I did find out they were great. The instructions are explained very simply and easy to follow but as I said I did wonder initially what they had to do with trying to draw the ball. The answers came in the end.

I used to slice the ball badly before but now I can hit it straight or if it goes right it is not as bad as before, at least it still stays on the fairway. It is a great feeling to see that ball stay on the fairway."
